Likes sharp suits and plays a sweet trombone. He is a permanent member of the National Jazz Award-Winning ensemble Kollage and has recorded with the band on their most recent session At This Time. Mei appears regularly on CTV performing arts broadcasts such as Canadian Idol and Canada’s Walk of Fame and has worked with international artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Wynton Marsalis, Robert Goulet, Paul Schaffer, Dan Akroyd, Doug Riley, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Joey DeFrancesco. He is proud to belong to the American Federation of Musicians and the Ontario College of Teachers and can be found in the St. Clair/Christie area walking his dog, or jamming at Ellingtons.
